Sotto il gioco della guerra, 2025

The central image of this project is a powerful photograph of a girl with long hair, wrapped in an eerie silence, wearing a gas mask. The subject, tells stories of threatened innocence, testifying to the vulnerability of a generation living under the shadow of conflict. The black and white forest, depicted behind her, symbolizes the beauty of nature and the serenity that the world can offer, now jeopardized by war. The absence of color in this element emphasizes a gray reality, devoid of life and hope. The element of the atomic bomb, which is disturbingly repeated, serves as a warning about the devastating consequences that conflicts can inflict on humanity and the environment. Its repetitive presence represents the persistent fear and inevitability of a history that repeats itself, if measures are not taken to prevent war. This project aims to raise awareness on the issues of peace and denunciation against the horrors of war. Through art, I wish to stimulate deep reflection and dialogue on the need to protect human lives and the environment, emphasizing the importance of peace and cooperation between nations. “Under the Game of War” is not just a visual work, but a call to action. I want this piece of art to become a symbol of hope and a bulwark against inertia in the face of violence. War must be fought with the pen and the heart, and art is one of the most powerful weapons at our disposal.
