La guerra è oltre la siepe
IIn this visual context, one can imagine the war behind the hedge, but its effects are
already evident to the eyes of the observer because of the tangible consequences on the violated and
parched.
The point of view would seem privileged, of someone who has not been personally involved, but
one need only peek through the hedge to be there, one step away, in the war that involves and
affects everyone!
The setting suggests desolate atmospheres, where, consequently, NO WEAPON, is
an exhortation among words dictated by the landscape to all mankind.
That exhortation must enter our consciousness and be applied concretely
to safeguard peace, so fragile and precarious, where it still resists, and nurture it where
war is already an everyday occurrence.
Although so much rhetoric often does not guarantee peace, with weapons we only create precarious
balances based on fear, overpower, and generate violence, destruction, WAR.
Never more than now, because of the harsh reality beyond the hedge, one wishes to serenely admire a
red/orange sunset in the bluest sky, free from imaginative misunderstandings, free
in UNIVERSAL PEACE.
