“There’s a dead person on the table”, 2024
The artwork highlights the widespread denial of urgent issues. In the piece, a child stands in front of a set
dinner table, where a dead person lies. The child exclaims, “Mom, there’s a dead person on the table!” to
which the mother replies, “Of course, but did you see the beautiful cutlery?” This metaphorical work addresses
the indifference and willful blindness regarding the issue of rearmament in Europe, a visible reality that is
ignored by those who prefer to focus on insignificant details rather than the gravity of the situation.
