The work is dedicated to the color of all the blood that remains hidden under the gray, dusty rubble of cities destroyed by needless madness.
Manuela Bedeschi
Born in Vicenza, she lives and works between Verona and Bagnolo di Lonigo (Vi). She graduated in Sculpture from the G.B. Cignaroli Academy of Fine Arts in Verona, and obtained a second diploma in Painting, studying Conceptual Art with Roman Opalka and Gunter Uecker at the Salzburg Summer Academy. She has taken various courses in experimental graphics at the International School of Graphics and the International Centre for Graphics in Venice. She manages the Duomo Gallery in Verona and teaches at the University of Continuing Education in Verona, running painting workshops and courses in contemporary art history. Since 2000, at Villa Pisani Bonetti in Bagnolo di Lonigo, he has organised educational visits, cultural events and contemporary art exhibitions. Since 2007, she has been president of the Villa Pisani Contemporary Art Cultural Association, with which, in collaboration with art historian and critic Luca Massimo Barbero, art historian and critic Francesca Pola and the Invernizzi Gallery in Milan, she organises exhibitions with international artists accompanied by monographic catalogues. As an artist, he has long worked in the field of sculpture and painting, exhibiting in national and international exhibitions, increasingly favouring installations and site-specific interventions over time, emphasising spaces with signs of light, with neon, once added to other materials, now his main means of expression in his artistic research into the mixture of sculpture and light. Words are a recent theme developed with various media (neon, concrete, marble, plastics) and often used in public art works.
