BORN TO KILL

The use of weapons leads to serious consequences that go beyond physical injury and loss of life. Any object used as a weapon, whether material or immaterial, amplifies the spiral of violence, discrimination and growing aggression towards populations, communities and the most vulnerable, whether they be women, minors, the elderly or people with disabilities.

Every act of coercion, contempt, intolerance on the grounds of gender, ethnicity, religious belief, bullying, or homophobia is a violation of the rights and freedoms of the individual.

MY WORK

since 2002 I work in an activity of study and research on sign, energy, light and space; I’ve been focusing on the void and the energies getting through it, studying its assets, from the bidimensionality of the drawing to the tension of the bodies, lights and volumes in space. The multimodality is the linguistic core of a search that integrates light, photography, installation, performance and videoart.

Through light circulation I like realizing settings and scenic spaces able to become living sites, and to give rise to links and contaminations; I like investigations the possibility to create a physical relationship the user and my installations and interactions between man, art work and space. Everything moves around a difficult balance between space and sensory energies: light, sound and imagery run after a thought, reacting and developing a new space perception, a container of expressive interaction and ambience.

The possibility of fruition-access involves the viewer in a “way” where he can compare himself directly and physically and start moving towards a process of communication and discussion with the other.

In my opinion, involvement takes a very important role, facilitating the viewer to overcome the common passive contemplation of the work.

Together with this investigation and reflection about space, considered in a conceptual and abstract vision, I feel the constant need of comparison on reality, which I often try and develop including in my work elements that remind us of our everyday life and the different aspects of the dynamics of modern society and the relationships between people.
