“We are always the first to make war“
I wanted to create a poster reminiscent of the ‘mimeograph’ of the 1970s, which was used for low-cost leaflets distributed around the streets of Bologna in those years. My technique is based on overlapping materials, such as acetates, whose luminescence and glossiness fascinate me, using only black-and-white pigments. This contrast creates a strong drama in the vision of the poster: ‘If we are not at peace with ourselves, we will always be the first to make war.’
