T.I.N.A (This is not America)
The title of the project ‘This is not America’ is inspired by the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America, which guarantees every citizen the right to own a gun. The intention is to ask questions about the legal status of weapons, comparing the Italian and American points of view.
T.I.N.A is perceived as the exact moment of rupture of a system, creating doubts and contradictions, capable of modifying the usual process of object analysis, creating a true visual oxymoron. The object-weapon is thus reworked, changing connotation, refining its exterior and shining again, relaunching a new way of appreciating the extreme and the elegant, nature and man, life and death. A playful object and, in some cases, an offending element, it loses its initial expressive charge, giving the user the chance to reinvent a new meaning and visual code.
