NOWEAPON.WORLD – Genoa
After the first edition’s success in Venice, in collaboration with Emergency, the Noweapon.world project continues its journey in Genoa. NoWeapon.world is a collective made up of artists, curators and art critics from different countries, united by the common objective of stimulating a critical reflection on the role of weapons as commercial products in contemporary society.
‘Our initiative fits into the global context of concrete actions through art, with the intention of nurturing constructive dialogue and promoting participation and social engagement as tools for change. We promote non-violent and diplomatic solutions and insist on cooperation and mutual respect, a contribution that advocates peaceful conflict resolution.’
The Genoa edition of Noweapon, in collaboration with Emergency, will be presented at the University Library of Genoa on 15 March 2025 at 5 pm in the presence of a group of artists from various Italian and international cities.
The posters will be displayed in the city in the special spaces designated for public posting, and will remain posted until March 24 in the Pre-Molo-Maddalena district (Piazza Cavour, Piazza Bandiera, Corso Maurizio Quadrio, Corso Dogali).
From one stage to the next, the adhesion of artists to Noweapon grows: for this edition there are 64, participants from different cities around the world.
All the posters, in a smaller size, will also be exhibited at the Genoa University Library during the presentation.
